Currently it being Wednesday means to me War of the Worlds!
Not literally, although it does sort of feel that way…however I am speaking about the series that is on CBC Gem!
Why is this a thing to be mentioned?!
Well firstly because it is quite good. If you are in the mood for a bunch of dystopia and death. The tone and sound design are top notch amongst other things.
The main reason is because I am engaging in this show in an old school way. Kinda like my website, pretty old school to have a website but I am making it new school cuz fuck the socials! Old school meaning I am watching it in real time at 8pm on Wednesdays. There are no spoilers, I can’t fast forward to see what is happening. I just watch it on the night as is is playing. Like how we used to watch T.V. It’s on odd feeling! I am so vv used to either reading spoilers (it makes it easier for me to know what is going to happen!) or going a head like you can with the little box over the curser, again so I can prepare myself for what is to come. Not with this! I just have to hang on for the ride and look forward to this weeks episode! What a concept! So different and the same and fun!
Anyhooo it’s Wednesday so that is what that means! Excited to see what will happen!
Are you engaging in any programs like this? Do you even have a T.V. even?! My viewing is all done on my compute.
Remember when in the Kootenays everyone only had the two free channels so we were all watching the same shows! Thursday night Friends! What a time!
Danke for being here!

P.P.S. The link to check out Chic Scotts new book that I said I would share, and I didn’t even forget! It’s a gorgeous book and would make such a wonderful Christmas gift!!

You’re such a tease with your movie shot teases, and I’ve been watching old Japanese, Korean and French movies from the local movie library, which put most of Hollywood to shame, while showing us how much tinsel town rips them off!
Wednesday is Hump Day:)
There are so many people alive who have never experienced that rabbit-ear one good show a week era of collective watching and reviewing. With live theatre being a wash these pandemic days, and cinemas being less influential with much worse product, the universal artistic experience is a very rare thing indeed, and at what cost our species at large who have always gathered for tribal entertainments!
